My first Orion and Horsehead of the year, Widefield.

From Last night. I had just over an hour as it whizzed from my trees to my neighbours house. I got 12 X 5min subs for the main image and 8 X 1 min subs for the blended in core of M42. Tracked.

Canon 1200D and 70-300 zoom at 200mm. F 5, DSS, PS. Darks and Bias.

Altinak looks like a lighthouse!... and I'm looking forward to more Orion widefields this year now I've started using lenses as well as my scopes. There is also a bit of trailing but its not too bad overall.

I love this bit of sky. I also attach a Black and white version as I thought it looked rather nice...
