Alignment without pole star which mount.

Help please with two questions. I want a tracking mount for my skymax 150 pro with future proof up to a Celestron 9.25. Any suggestions. And the hard bit, I cannot see Polaris from the garden so can someone confirm its possible to align the mount before I purchase.

I have used two mounts with my C9.25, an HEQ5 Pro and now my AZ EQ 6 GT.  Both included the Synscan system so can be polar aligned to less than 30" using the handset and two visible stars of decent separation neither of which needs to be Polaris.  It's not at all difficult and much easier than using a polar scope.  I will say though that if you wish to add any peripherals to your C9.25 then in my personal experience the HEQ5 Pro will be at its limit.

+1 for the AZ EQ 6. Works a charm to polar align with the routine on the hand set.
