The Solar Photosphere - 23rd October 2016

This morning's white light shot. A bit quiet on this side of the spectrum but here we have the remains of AR12602 leaving stage right and AR12603 which although unimpressive to the eye, is still developing. Ca-K image shows some nice plage areas south of 12602 and also on the east side of the disk just south of the equator. This may indicate developing activity, or not

Nice quiet Sun David, but we would only complain if it shot out a giant CME and cooked all the electric devices on the planet

great shots Dave, nothing here thismorrning "mon" my run has come to a end, but carnt complane 33 in a row ant bad, beat my last run of 9 by a mile. hope you have better skys ,charl.

Nice disc's there does look like some new activity coming.
