how spotting planets at daylight early sunset

Recommended Posts

This can be done at twilight for Saturn, Jupiter and Venus (possibly also Mars but not tried it) when they are in the sky at this time (currently not in the UK). You just have to keep looking until your eye picks them up. Downloading Stelarium would help as this would tell you where they were so you know which patch of sky to look in

I might add that observing planets at twilight whilst the sky is blue is perhaps my favourite time. Maybe due to there being less glare as there is less contrast? Not sure, but I always love looking at planets when it's as light as possible
