Earths "second moon", is it visible in a scope ?

The earth travels around the sun at 66,600mph for Cruithne to make that many sub orbits and cover that distance in a year it must be going very fast indeed. Whoever gets the shot has my compliments in advance....

I would be tempted to do a couple of single long exposure images and provided the brightness levels can be matched a simple layer subtraction in PS should show up any object thats not in the same position (everything else would vanish).

I'm not all that savvy on imaging but judging by all the noise in that image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cruithne.jpg it took some exposure you capture that image so my guess I have no chance of seeing it visually unless the skies are really dark, calm seeing, perfect transparency and I find a much larger scope
