Which Film To Use?

I am thinking of making a solar filter for my scope but not sure what film to use. Some say Baader and others the stuff from amazon that makes the image yellow or orange, although some reports say this does not show clear  images. I therefore would like any help in making my mind up. Thank you in advance for any input........Geoff

Geoff, I use the Baader when imaging the sun, and then add false colour in Photoshop to give that Orange/yellow hue.

I use a yellow filter in the EP to tint the sun with my Baader solar film I use, and also to see faculae better on the surface. Green does pretty good for this too.

I use either Baader film (in my SCT and the kids' Newtonian) or a Herschel wedge (the latter ONLY in my refractors). I generally add a Baader Solar Continuum filter to enhance contrast. All imaging is done in monochrome anyway, so I don't care about the colour

Bit late to the party in replying, but another +1 for Baader film.

...and don't forget to make one for your finderscope too!
