Gassendi Crater

Hi Stargazers lounge,

My first post to post my first moon image. This image was taken on my iphone, which was unmounted, through my Celestron 127slt. Sorry for the blur! Gassendi Crater is a very beautiful feature and this phase of the moon really shows the detail of the rim.

It was such an achievement when i first captured the moon with my phone held up to the eyepiece, though my result not as good as this. Great job, you've started photographing now and your gonna be hooked!

Thank you all for the feedback. I was pleased with the result. I have a T adaptor on order so look for more (with better stability) to come.

I ran my photo through a mobile photo filter application called Prisma. The effect makes it look like a fantasy/comic piece. The moon is such a beautiful subject. I would hang this on my wall.
