Having a play with PI and re=processing some things - NGC 6888

HI, as the title suggests i'm just doing a few comparisons with basic PI processing to compare it to my PS stuff and thought I'd have a go at my Crescent. Not really done anything except the initial stretch. Below is the PS version of the same data.

The PS version must have had more processing than just a stretch, I think. Stars are smaller, but there are also some black pixels/spots in that image.

Hi Wim, yes it did which I guess is kind of my point. The amount of time I spent on PS is massive compared to what I have to do on PI to achieve nearly the same result. I love it!!!

PI is a power tool. It can get the job done faster (well, kind of :wink:), but it's sometimes all too easy to grind away and mess up a good image. Not in your case, though.

I don't regret my investment one bit.
