Orion this morning

Our streetlights have been of for weeks :-) I don't know if its permanent or if they will be swapping in LED lamps.

Woke up this morning and went outside at about 6:30, the sky was already pretty blue yet Orion was still brilliant in the south, and I could even make out two stars in his sword. It must have been a lovely opportunity for imaging after midnight!

I was out imaging Orion last night! Not a cloud in sight for at least 4 hours, and Pleaides was very visible too. Our streetlights get switched off at midnight and back on around dawn so had a good opportunity to take out the DSLR with my 300mm lens and Star Adventurer; dew has become my latest enemy now though, need to get a dew heater setup for my lenses; the spending never ends!

Yep! I've found a round 12-ohm 10W resistor that looks ideal for fitting on the end of my secondary support!
