Thirteenth Biennial History of Astronomy Workshop (NDXIII)

Recommended Posts

Received this on an Astro History list which I subscribe to. I'm forwarding it here in case it's of interest to anyone on the SGL. Sound as if it could be very good if you're in the area:

The Thirteenth Biennial History of Astronomy Workshop (NDXIII) will be held
5-9 July 2017 at the University of Notre Dame, with an included one-day
trip to the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. The theme chosen for the upcoming
workshop is “Models and Mechanisms in the History of Astronomy” and we are
looking forward to having Mike G. Edmunds, Emeritus Professor at Cardiff
University and Chair of the Antikythera Mechanism Research Project, as our
invited speaker.  The full announcement and call for proposals for papers
and sessions (due by 1 Feb 2017) is included below, and a printable CFP
handout as well as poster designs (for color or B&W printing) are available
as PDFs for download at the following links:

We hope many of you will consider attending and encourage you to share this
widely with students and colleagues as well!  If you need any further
information or materials, or have questions that are not addressed in the
CFP, please feel free to contact me at sajoreyn@indiana.edu.

With thanks and many regards,
