Pete Presland

Been nearly 2 weeks between sessions!

Recommended Posts

Managed a short session this evening, the first for nearly 2 weeks again. I guess its close to the time of year where its going to be weekend only imaging opportunities. Plenty of action visible, quite a few filaments on show and a nice filaprom as well. The seeing conditions seemed pretty decent, especially considering the sun was well on the way down by the time I imaged it.

The usual set up Lunt50 d/s, DMK21au618. 2 pane mosaic for the disc, x2.5 Powermate for the close up.

This will the last images with the helical focuser, having pulled the trigger on the Crayford!

Nice work Pete. Getting tricky to get a session in as you say, with the Sun getting lower by the day.

Lovely images Pete. I really like the contrast between the filaments and plages. I also like your color palette.
