Herefordshire Astronomical Society - viewing of partial eclipse

Recommended Posts

This new society is organising a solar day on 1st August to view the partial eclipse of the sun. The venue will be the Hereford Whitecross Squash and Tennis Club in Sollars Close, Hereford. The Club is situated a mile from Hereford City centre off the Whitecross Road heading for Brecon. The Club has agreed to open the social and bar area. The eclipse starts about 9.30am and will end at approx 11.00am. Telescopes with white light filters and Hydrogen Alpha will be available for anyone wishing to visit.

Hope to see you there and we look forward to a sunny morning.

Mark,

Do you have a website for your society?

In Astropedia we are putting links into the websites of all the known societies. Could you post a small paragraph on your society and provide a listing of your programme for 2008/2009?

John
