Kullat Nunu - M74

Imaged M74, poor seeing, stars looked like strobe lights across sky but some neat effects from Kullat Nunu double star, I like the rays emanating from it.  M74 turned out better than expected for me.  4 min subs with darks, flats, bias, ED-80 & DSLR into DSS/Neb.

That came out really nicely considering the seeing conditions and image scale.  It is really difficult to even get focus when it is like that.

I had interesting seeing conditions last night as well, the aurora borealis showed up in force just after I had got set up so I had to wait for it to go away before I could image anything.  At least I had something nice to look at while I waited

Quite typical as on previous nights I had my wide field rig out so would have just imaged the Northern lights instead but I had left in inside.
