how would you balance this scope

Attach a small weight to the other end of the dovetail bar on the underside?

Wouldn't an extra weight on your bar along with the weight you have already on there be the thing to do here?

Move the rear tube ring closer to the front one. You'll then be able to slide your scope further up which should move the center of gravity to aid in balancing

What's that finderscope doing? If it is going to become a finder-guider (and it needs to do so) then you could mount it on an upturned Vixen dovetail and inverted saddle clamp so you could slide it forwards to balance the whole thing.

Possible cheap solution might be a 500g or 1kg ankle weight taped to the light/dew shield. That should also allow you to balance in the vertical (by the looks of it, it probably doesn't at the moment). I use on an ankle weight on my 80mm apo

How far do you think it needs to move in order to reach balance? if it's a small amount then @geordie85 's soluiton seems sensible, or bolt a longer dovetail to the bottom of the existing one to achieve the same effect.
