Wow, really impressive captures Errol.  Well done!  I am a huge fan of small refractors in the summertime.  IC1318 near Gamma Cygni is one of my favorites...I call it the Dragon Nebula because I think it looks like the head of an oriental dragon.

Thanks very much, Peter and Jim.

I'm beginning to appreciate the wide field of small refractors and telephoto lenses on the large emission nebulae. As soon as my tripod mount adapter (suggested by Dom) arrives, I will give the full IC1318 region near Sadr a shot with a 135mm telephoto. Should be fun:happy7:.

My advice is

tonmosaic from the North America down past Sade and a good way to Alberto. You'll also want to "right" up the wing some way too... otherwise you'll be chopping some of the nebulosity off... you need to go *wide*!
