If you look at the middle picture.

The fellow with the white hair and his back to the camera on the left is me. A couple of members of the Border Astronomical Society are right behind me. This was the regular Astromind Competition.

Dalby is a great event, and I am so sorry that due to clashes of holiday dates,. I was unable to attend last years, and indeed this years event. Sad really, I thoroughly enjoy Dalby. The trip to Whitby, the Ride up to Grosmont from Pickering on the North Yorks Railway. Ah!, that lovely smoke and steam, wonderful. There is usually a Steam Rally in Pickering about the same time as the Starfest. Don't know about this year though. Adderstone Field where the site is, is very dark, and given good nights seeing is excellent. Bl***y Midges can be a pest though.

Have a good time all those who are going, and I wish I was going with you.

I have to make do with London, but, I get to see Rog. so thats a bonus.

It sounds like a very interesting place but I have already booked to go to the open day at the Norman Lockyer Observatory in south Devon.
