My first wide field Milky Way

Recommended Posts

I shot this from northern Vermont last week. I believe the data is better than the result I achieved. I kind of rushed the processing.

Canon T6i
18mm lens, ISO-3200, 21 exposures at 25 seconds, f3.5 - Photos were taken using an Alt-Az tracking mount. Align & Stack using Deep Sky Stacker. Photoshop CC level post processing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It was as much fun to look with the naked eye as it was to photograph. While I had my camera on the wide field imaging, I pointed my scope to M13 which was just amazing under clear skies. I could even see that with my bare eyes. Unfortunately, I can only image one thing at a time and that night was wide field night...

Cheers...
