FUNcube, Yagi all set up and ready to detect Meteors

Recommended Posts

I have a 3 beam Yagi height and it is about 9 Metres high and its pointing SE
I have the FUNcube Pro on my Win 10 Laptop
Installed SDR v1.0.0.1446
Followed the instructions from: http://www.funcubedongle.com/MyImages/FCD2ManualV4.pdf
I hear an audio hiss - and at different frequencies did hear music so I think its all working.
Now for meteor detection I tuned to Graves: 143.049MHz and Im getting a constant background hiss (which is probably correct) is there anyway to check that Im picking up Graves

Reading through the posts here FCD and Spectrum Lab is a good software combination, Spectrum Lab seems quite complex but I guess it has more options and maybe the better package to use long term

There is also lots of conflicting info, soem say use 143.050, 143.048, 143.048 and so on - there is also a mode questions I have seen WFM, USB

in writing this I think I should go FCD and Spectrum Lab so any pointers appreciated.

John
