Single Frame Images Taken with the 5-inch Scope

Hi Everyone:

Here are some single (stacked) frames I took the other day. Some of them look downright foreboding. As if we are looking at a dark mysterious world, quite apart from ours, which we are. These images actually remind me of the grainy radar images taken by the Magellan craft orbiting Venus, or perhaps closeups of coral reefs. Anyways, they have a weirdly intriguing quality about them.

Thanks everyone. The comments are really appreciated! Its going to be cloudy here for a few days, so at least I got one run with the 5-inch scope. I may attempt an afternoon session, which I have rarely done, just to keep up the momentum if the opportunities allow!

Thanks Ruud & Pieter!

Pieter, I use the ZWO ASI174MM, an excellent camera, that is also priced very reasonably. I recorded over 800 frames over a minute duration, and stacked the 40 best. I cannot remember the actual exposure time per frame. Please send me a personal mail if you want more information.
