M16 HA RGB

Hi

M16 is quite low from my site so I tried to get an image over 2 nights but I am having some problems getting the stars aligned properly. Any tips very welcome.

HA: 2 Hours and RGB 1 hour each.

EQ6 with ART 285.

Vince, you have a fair bit of data there and the eagle is looking pretty dramatic. What software are you using for the aligning and combining?

I used maxim to align and combine the RGB data and photoshop to add the HA.

There are plenty of people who use maxim to combine their LRGBs but I've never got on with it and use photoshop. Have a look at the primer on LRGB imaging here -

I would be interested in having a look at your files. Is there any chance of you loading the individual combined channel files onto ukastronomers?
