AstroTiger
Hi GuysAs always, this cranky chap is having issuesCould someone please advise on how to gain a propery image from the PST with a toucam pro +To date i have purchased the shorter screw in adapter. However even upon streaming it through K3CCD tools, i am getting a kind of orange on the outside with black on the insideis this a contrast issse?I know i am being silly, but can anyone walk me through the idiots guide for doing this. And believe me it is worthwhile, cos i intend to document it and make it available to other amateur astronomers, who are trying to enter this new exciting form of solar observingMany thanks in advance

Kaptain Klevtsov
You might need to fit a Barlow lens to the nosepiece to get it to focus, and it might be worth trying the Toucam in mono (setting in K3CCD Tools).Kaptain klevtsov
peteri
You might find this web site useful http://www.astro-imaging.de/astro/articles.html - it talks about the ToUcam 740, but it should be applicable to your set up. Note the section on using an IR filter - if you don't have an IR-filter in front of the web cam sensor, your images will always look out of focus.
