June 15th - White Light - Yet another smash and grab.

Well, it seems that this smash and grab approach is becoming the norm, whatever happened to having the sun in a nice patch of blue sky?!  Anyway, any port in a storm.  I had a thinning of the cloud from 8.40 - 8.53 am and managed to knock out a few frames.   Pictures taken with Equinox 80, Lunt H Wedge, Olympus E-M10.  Full disk taken at 8.42am, 1/400 at 640 asa.  The close up of AR2553 taken at 8.53 am with x2 barlow, 1/320 at 400 asa.  Just before 1 pm and it's nearly as dark as night outside!
