I am having similar issues.  I have EqMac connected, but when I try to connect SkySafari to 127.0.0.1 on port 4030 it connects then after about 1 second disconnects and says "The telescope is not responding.  You have been disconnected.  Do you want to re-connect?"  Clicking connect repeats the cycle.  I have never successfully gotten sky safari to stay connected to EqMac yet.  See screenshots:

Turns out I reset SkySafari back to its original settings and everything started working...
