A recent image of M51, the Whirlpool Galaxy in Canes Venatici, using a William Optics 80mm f/6 triplet apo and an Atik 16HR b/w ccd camera. Total exposure time was 51 minutes with 3 minute subs. This image is a crop of the full image.
