m51, light pollution no cal frames minimal exposure, GLORIOUS

Recommended Posts

I had set up with all good intentions to have a full nights imaging on m51, I know light pollution is a problem where I live but meh what the hell, what I didn't take in to account was after 40 minutes of imaging the camera bouncing off the tripod legs (school boy error). every thing had moved so flats out the window and being 1:30am I really didn't fancy re setting everything as ive been ill and bed was all I wanted. Decided to use what I had but was pleasantly surprised with the outcome

so for the vitals

L,R,G- 4x 240s bin 2x2. B-3x240s bin 2x2

c9.25 (first time ive managed to guide the thing)

Thats a nice image considering the conditions. The light pollution does not look too bad either. Well done!
