Had a go at stacking some more frames (30% rather than just 20), so I could do slightly more sharpening.

 

 

I even tried some 1.5x drizzle, which works reasonably well:

 

There is still the problem of the slight ghost image of the moons (both show it). It may be some internal reflection from the UV/IR block filter. The IR-pass image I took doesn't show it. I might be able to solve it by deconvolving with an estimate of the reflection obtained from the image of the right-hand moon.

Certainly Harper detail in this re-process Michael. I don't feel the drizzle has added anything personally. If anything there is less resolution in the drizzle version than the re-stack imo.

A good looking image I am never sure how  much percentage wise to stack. I am currently leaning towards 10% and not sharpening as much.

Ah, ghost images!  Now I have a name for them, I see those on my images, and also with moon shadows. Please let us know if you figure it out and I'll do the same.
