Jupiter happy fun time

Nice and clear tonight at the center of the Universe (Leeds).

Decided to take a look at Jupiter during the twilight.  The red spot really stood out well and stood up to some decent magnification in  the Mak.

After the GRS had move on I fancied doing a spot of imaging - that is when the madness set in.

OK - maybe not but what I did was decided to employ a 5 x Powermate with an 1800mm focal length Mak giving me an f/60 focal ration (its only a 6" aperture - like i said madness).

Anyway i'll let you good folk be judge and jury on the result. Couple of points anyone can help me with:

1) Why does Registax detect the AVI as black and white (recorded in the IC Capture software with the Camera)

2) Can you specify in the IC Capture software to film in B & W

I've tried using the 5x amplifier before with poor results but this time was better.

You don't say what the camera is. If you are using IC Capture is it a DMK? When I used to use IC Capture you had to specify what to capture as.
