Next transit of Venus on The Sun

Just found out that The next transit if Venus on the Sun will be.... In 2117!!

So we will leave space to the future members of SGL to comment on this!

 

Thankfully the transit of Mercury is more frequent and coming soon (on 9 May)!

Let's hope in clear skies!

Shouldn't that be Deepest Sunniest Norfolk for this Solar event...? If it's dark you will have missed it

I was so lucky to observe the complete 2004 Venus Transit and the 2012 event in the United States. It would be nice to see 2117 event and I am sure that Steve and FLO would be extremely happy if the forum was still active in 100 years. As regards the Mercury Transit we can only hope that it will be clear on the day. The 2019 event in November will only partially be visible in the UK otherwise we need to wait until 2032.

So Piero here is hoping for a clear May ahead.
