April 10, 2016: Monster sunspot in H-alpha

Just had the SolarMax-II 60 DS out to grab a gap between clouds, and the big sunspot is really quite spectacular. The are also some filaments visible, two of which are to the south west of the big spot. These latter look so dark and compact in the DS configuration that you could almost mistake them for another sunspot

Same here. Just viewing and sketched it through the 10x50's bigges single spot ive seen to date.

Good as that a, mine is a very below average chimp and that's probably an insult to chimps :grin:
