Lunt 16x70 Binoculars

Recommended Posts

For sale are my Lunt Engineering 16x70 Binoculars.

"Lunt Engineering's 11x and 16x Magnesium binoculars feature large 70mm objectives, premium quality fully multicoated optics and Bak-4 prisms in a remarkably light magnesium body.  An excellent choice for astronomy!

The rigid magnesium body is sealed against the elements. The degree of protection is rated at IPX-7, meaning they can withstand water entry for up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of water so it will easily survive a damp night and if you drop it in the mud you can wash it off under a tap!

Also, the binocular interior is Nitrogen-purged (the air inside has been replaced with Nitrogen) rendering it 100% fog-proof. The interior will never mist up so the optics remain pristine and free of the spidery fungal growth that affects so many binoculars used in coastal areas. A light rubber armour provides a tactile slip-resistant grip.

Focus is achieved by adjusting each eyepiece individually and eye-relief is a generous 20mm so eye-glass wearers will have no problem seeing the full image.

A tripod adapter thread is located on the bridge and covered by a metal cap. To use the binocular on a regular photo tripod simply unscrew the cap then attach the included tripod adapter. "

They are in an unmarked and excellent condition, and are only a few months old. I have three pairs of binoculars, and a telescope, and the wife thinks this is an extravagance. :hmh: My Pentax are plenty good enough for my needs. And besides, I could always convince her that my next project is a worthy one!

They retail at £480 give or take a quid or two, so i'm asking for £380 posted. An absolute bargain, and they are worth every penny - these really are as good as the reviews say they are.

Paypal accepted, as is cash on collection.

First PM I get, gets 'em.
