Red light

Hi can anyone tell me or direct me to where I can buy the red sheeting that they use on star nights to cover the laptop screens etc. and also a good light to use as the last one I took was TOO BRIGHT for some. Jay

Stellarium and Sky Map have night vision options which renders them OK to use in the field.  If you need red sheeting, The Range do sheets of red cellophane for not much outlay.

I use a 'FourSevens Atom A0 Red'.

Cracking little torch! 2 modes (just bright enough for dark adapted eyes, and just bright enough for non dark adapted eyes), tiny, waterproof, and the battery lasts for ages.

I've never seen them available in the UK, ordered mine from the States.

A bit expensive, but IMHO well worth it.
