lightweight planetarium for eqmod

EQ6 with eqmod via pcdirect

I've conected successfully to the mount from the laptop using a 10GB windows xp virtualbox guest under Linux. I connected Cartes du Ciel and whilst it works, is slow on my virtual machine and Stellarium dosen't work under xp. Can anyone recommend low requirement planetarium software with eqmod comptibility?

A couple of other planetaria for you to try are C2a and Skytechx .

have a look at SkytechX, it's ascom compliant. i dumped CdC for it. This vid (excuse it being rotated) is running on an old intel atom 1.6gig machine with winXP. the first is skytechx, the second is CdC. SkytechX blows it out of the water for performance even in such a low spec machine. My installation of SkytechX is also running the UCAC4 database down to mag20 or so, CdC is in it's standard form. This was also running over a standard win RDP connection. you can hear my keyboard clicks to judge how fast the screen update is if you turn your volume up a bit.

Hi. Yes, that's great. It fires up fine and runs smoothly on my xp vm. Thanks for the heads up.
