Joe12345
Last night I saw my first shadow transit on Jupiter. I would really like to see more of them, however I don't have any way of knowing when they'll be. I have a Windows phone, so the app store is a bit limited, so is there a site online I could use? Thanks
Stu
The Sky & Telescope site is a good place to start... http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/interactive-sky-watching-tools/
kerrylewis
I use two but on Apple devices so you need to check availability for Windows. One is called Jupiter Moons produced by Sky & Telescope and the other is called Gas Giants
Dave In Vermont
Not an app. per say, but a small software-program that you can set to whatever time you wish - and see where each moon of Jupiter is at any time. As well as the GRS (Great Red Spot). It leaves a link on your desktop. Free, of course: http://astrosurf.com/rondi/jupiter/ Happy hunting - Dave
