cloudsweeper
Just been looking at the Moon, and "forgot" my theoretical max mag is about 250 and bunged a 5mm EP in. Wow - Mare Serenitatis, with craterlets and ridges, all crisp and clear - what a sight! Would have looked for other objects but the neighbour's garden light came on. Not a security light, a permanent one. Drat. (I usually operate from the opposite end where it's less intrusive.) Doug.
Knighty2112
Yeah, I was observing the moon and getting absorbed in the Mare Tranquillitatis too. Could make out very easily the Cauchy fault witch looked like a dark thin pencil line etched on the moon. Best I've seen the moon for a while too.
