Thanks for that info nameunknown.  HD 140283 - in Libra is definitely deserving of a view!

I find, and I'd imagine others would agree, knowing facts about the objects we observe makes the experience so much better. Just viewing a solitary star and knowing its distance, size, luminosity and other characteristics allows for an appreciation of the view that would otherwise be lost.

Plus I feel a kinship to HD 140283, also being very poor in metals....greenbacks, stocks, bonds.....  :dontknow:
