My small bore Moon (and Jupiter) from 2014. A composite image, Jupiter was actually 12 degrees away. Taken with Travel Scope 50 (50/360 mm) with the full aperture mod, PGR Chameleon mono and Baader IR-pass 685 nm filter.

I took this on August 15th with my Nikon D3200 and 70-300mm Tamron Zoom lens. Rather than my usual single shots when using the lens, I took a 30 second video, dumped half the frames when converting in PIPP, then stacked 50% of the remainder.

I was pleasantly surprised.

Another afocal shot tonight with the Tasco Galaxsee 60mm refractor fl700mm, Hybrid mirror diagonal, 25mm Super Plossl EP and the Fujifilm A170 compact digital camera on a camera tripod. The best I can pull out of this scope I think.

Optic: Orion ED80(standard, not the triplet or CF)
Mount: iOptron ZEQ25GT
Stacked in AS!2, mosaic in LR2015, tweaked in LR2015

Four panel mosaic(best 35% of 1,000frame avi)

Scott, you have posted a really nice image there, yes nothing wrong with using a barlow, the whole purpose of the thread is to show what can be done with a scope of no more than 4"

Like very image indeed Scott, nicely processed.

Here is one with my TAL Alkor, the 65mm light thimble  and iPhone, seeing was awful! 

I'm sure I can do better but it's a starter.

These are afocal single shots with the phone cameras, using a 90mak for the close ups and a 114mm newt for the first one...still a novice when it comes to taking pictures and editing. Alot of great shots in this thread...makes me want to buy an 80mm...

We must be getting back to Luna season, got some really good images coming in Aaron thanks for posting some very good A-focal shots

I want this thread to be a source of encouragement to to newer members that dont own the massive dobs or huge triplet fracs and we are doing a very good job

The ED80 is a killer scope for lunar not too bad on planets either.
