first decent dso image

Just thought Ide share my first decent image of M57 with you

about 15 x 15sec images with DSI-C on ETX90PE using drizzle (not sure if I did the drizzle right lol)

stacked in registax and altered in photoshop

If anyone can make it look even better, please feel free :D

Well thats a start Greenkat......

Focussing is a tad out, once thats sorted out, take more subs with a slightly longer exp time and you will be well on your way......

I have never used drizzle when stacking my images so i cannot comment there....Hopefully somebody will be able to help you when it comes to using drizzle when stacking and with any other help you need......

Hopefully I'll get polar allignment a bit better to take longer exposures,

As for focusing, I was in and out like jackinabox trying to get best focus using electric focuser

This seemed best I could get :D , I try harder next time :thumbright:

Can't resist an offer like that! Unfortunately lunch is now over so all I've had to do is darken the background and play around with saturation levels plus a bit of blurring. Looks like there is quite a bit of detail in the 'Ring' to be brought out.

Very good first DSO indeed. :thumbup:
