Moon and Jupiter

At the end of a session capturing Kemble's Cascade and Comet Catalina, I grabbed a couple of shots of a relatively wide conjunction of Jupiter with the full Moon

Very nice image. I can see a faint dark area around the moon. Some processing artefact?

Blast it!  The Moon and Jupiter images were taken with different exposures, then the correctly exposed image of the Moon added with a layer mask.  It looks like I need to calibrate the monitor in the observatory because on my laptop it's obvious I didn't mask out the area well enough.  I'll aim redo it later tonight.

Isn't that great? A good conjunctions never fails to make me feel part of the solar system.
