RGB Align in Autostakkert!2

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else have trouble with the RGB align in Autostakkert?

Although my processed video out of PIPP seems to be well aligned, once it's gone through AS!2 it always seems to show a blue fring at top right and a red one at bottom left. It make me wonder if I would be better off with RGB align switched off.

I use Registax to post-align the images and it takes a good while to do this and gives excellent results - see below (jpg versions of tiffs, not finally processed yet):

~1400 frames aligned in AS!2 (with RGB align checked):

Same image after RGB align in Registax:

Is it possible I have a setting wrong in AS!2?

I don't bother with rgb align in as!2 as it slows down the stacking process so I correct the stacked image in registax.

Your colour balance is a concern as your image is very orange.

That's just stacked, without any colour processing.
