HEQ5 Problem

good morning all....i do hope that you had a good nights imaging last night.

my night was ruined with problem after problem. i eventually got things running, imaging ic410 tadpoles, but during the

5th 20min sub, my mounts handset display read 'no link to M.C. stand alone mode'. the guiding went hay wire and i had to stop there and then.

please can anyone tell me what has gone wrong, and how i can fix it?

This could be due to a broken wire in the handset-mount cable or socket on the mount. The cable is a standard cat5 network cable so you should be able to confirm a faulty cable by swapping it for a network cable.

It was pretty cold last night, I have heard of handset's stopping working when they are cold.

Alternative is to use EQmod.  However hope you get it foxed soon.

You may be better off using EQMOD Bob, as I'm sure that I've read on many occasions that the connection between the handset and PC to run the mount is far from ideal.
