Field of View help needed

Hi I'm new to the site and astronomy with a telescope.

I've just purchased a Celestron Advance VX Edge HD 8" with an auto guide camera. While I'm waiting for it to arrive, I've been looking at DSO's I want to image along with the planets and I've found I list of (I think) all DSO's. Within the list it has the size of each object in degrees eg the Andromeda Galaxy has a angular size of 189'. 

What does this all mean, and what's the largest object I can image with this telescope, .7 reducer and a dslr. I have both 35mm and APS-C sensor.

You can use a field of view calculator like this one to see how the objects will be framed.

I think the attached images give your setup options correctly, but have a play around with it.

The 8" edgehd scope is best with an aps-c- sensor or smaller. With a full frame you will get vignetting so it's not ideal .
