Pleiades with full moon

Recommended Posts

I was hoping to spend the next few nights imaging Andromeda, but it's been pointed out to me that it'll be a full moon and so it won't be worth it. So I'm thinking I might just see what I can do with Pleiades now that I'm guiding, to compare it to my previous unguided effort.

With my IDAS light pollution filter I can reach 5-min subs with a 50-60% histogram peak.

So my question is, would it be worth taking fewer longer subs (5 mins) rather than more shorter ones (maybe 2 mins?) under a full moon? And would it be worth combining 2 or 3 sessions, given that Pleiades is so close and bright anyway? Presumably you can't ever have "too much data"?
