Newbie question about image processing

Hello very new and green 

I have taken images with an iPhone and spotting scope, using an adaptor. The ones of the moon have been successful  but the ones of stars have the stars in the background albeit faint but are washed our by blue light , brightest in the centre fading to the edge   It was a 15 second exposure and a dark sky. (Holiday Northumberland):)

i have serif photo plus isit possible that to process the images to remove this all advice gratefully received

Don't know about Serif Photo but you could certainly improve it in something like GIMP which is free, or of course Photoshop which isn't free.

Sounds like a White Balance adjustment may be needed.

Good idea to post a copy of the shot as it helps to pinpoint the problem.

And FWIW, Photoshop CS2 is available for free download.

Thank you both I will have a look at the free Photoshop and Gimp and will try white balance in Serif, will let you know hopefully with before and after if I make any progress.

Ok not earth shattering I know but got some results star trails due to too long an exposure but got the lower half of Orion with the nebula. Ended up using a feature called gradient map. best of a bunch I am afraid
