wuthton
Download the free planatarium called Stellarium, use the search>position and you'll find that it is rising due East from about 11pm tonight, just under and right a bit of Arcturus. Knighty2112
Here's an image with your star highlighted. Unless you have a very good telescope it is doubtful you will see it very easily alas at it is very faint.
Knighty2112
Here's a better picture from Skysafari to show where the star lies in the sky, halfway between the bright stars Spica and Arcturus. The star itself lies in the centre of the crosshairs in the picture in the constellation of Virgo.
Dave In Vermont
As regards Stellarium - I also highly recommend this planetarium-program. It will help you find just about anything up there. This is my Cut & Paste to get you there, along with instructions: http://www.stellarium.org/ As for instructions, the most current one's are posted in Wiki due to there being new features & functions being created almost daily. There is also a Pdf. that's almost up-to-date, absolutely enough 'up-to-date' in all needed ways. Here's the Wiki-Link: http://www.stellarium.org/wiki/index.php/Stellarium_User_Guide And the Pdf. is here: http://barry.sarcasmogerdes.com/stellarium/stellarium_user_guide-new.pdf Similar software-programs can cost you upwards of £200. This is totally free. Enjoy! Dave
wuthton
I added your star to the end of my sequence last night. It's easy to pick out using Knighty's posts, of the two stars dead centre it's the upper one.
