keeping cables tidy

It all depends on how permanent your rig is!

Whilst 'playing about', I use velcro cable ties everywhere, then try and group cables into 'functional' groups, e.g. camera and oag, here's my qsi with its cable loom.

I use nylon cable sleeve, bought cheap on ebay, to make a nice cable loom, with the equipment end tied down with a solid 'p' clip, I still use the velcro cable tie to coil it for storage.

On my portable rig, the same goes for the mount, EQDir and power done the same way, and the scope has the focuser and dew heater loomed similarly.

Cables are draped back to the polar axis, so as not to create drag on the mount, sometime I'll use some more velcro strips to fix them, sometimes not, depends if I can be bothered, or can find the strips in the dark.

Does that help at all?
