Good Old M42!

So I think M42 is a target that every budding astrophotographer tends to end up imaging early on and it turns out that I am no exception.

Whilst Thursday night was mainly concentrated around trying to Image NGC 2169 I also decided to point my 80ED at M42 to grab a few subs of that as well.

I ended up with 16 x 90 sec subs taken with my Modified Canon 700D.

I have been having fun learning about using layers to try and protect the central regions which has been fun, I was actually hoping to pick up some more red as I was using the modified camera but I can live with magenta instead I suppose :-)
