Dartmoor - Bennett's Cross & Powdermills

Recommended Posts

Recent clear skies allowed a quick run up to Dartmoor, first set is of Bennet's Cross,  then we moved around to the Powdermills.   Bennett's Cross is on the side of the road from Moretonhampstead to Two Bridges, nicely accessible with good clean views to the North & South.   Powdermills dates back to 1844 and was a factory for making gunpowder.  Shots taken on my 8-15mm Fisheye zoom at 14mm. A couple were taken with a borrowed Samyang 24mm f1.4, boy is that one sharp & stunning astro lens.   14mm exposures were 30 seconds at f4, ISO 6,400 - while the 24mm shots were at f2 at 20 seconds to stop the star trails...
