Germany is a beautiful part of the world. Have holidayed in the Harz, and the Mosel. You are very lucky.

We agree with you Bob about being a beautiful part of the world.   Having visited the region on numerous holidays, and about to retire in the UK, we thought 'shall we sit in the park and feed the ducks or go on a glorious adventure'.  So we burnt all our bridges and here we are 1/2 way through our second year living in Germany.  Its not been all plain sailing getting used to the way things are done here but its a wonderful adventure and big clear skies . . . . well not at the moment coz its still snowing !!!

Besides stargazing I also want to get into imaging which seems substantially more complicated than just attaching a DSLR to the scope.
