Skywatcher 1.25" light pollution filter

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, just wondering how much this filter might help me, live in about as light polluted a place as imaginable. What should I expect from this filter? only really hoping for lunar and planetary observations from my home location but would be nice to clear the sky up a bit and see a few more stars somehow. Thanks

I also have 1 of these filters, and have found it useless and a waste of money, getting into the dark shadows makes a far bigger difference (we have 1 sodium street lamp in front of our front garden, and if i use the rear garden we have all the bright lights of Sheffield) so its a bit of a loosing game, but creating shadows & using them does make a big difference, at least for me it does.
