M45 - messed up framing!

Beautiful night so I thought id have another go at M45 with the guiding. Made a complete mess of the framing and the guiding was playing up. Happy with the processing though.

That's a beautiful image.    Boo for making us all jealous by having a clear night.   We want one!

Looking at the image, the difraction spikes on the stars really do make a huge difference.   Think I'm going to have to do that next time I attempt M45.  (SCT's don't do spikes, so I'll be making some)

I don't think you messed up the framing. You simply can't fit the whole object into what you can frame. Try a mosaic to bring in what you don't have here.

The processing is, indeed, very good.
